Interior Designer
This is a full-time position with Intermediate to Senior level experience required. Residential Design experience is required, ideally in high-end markets.

Headquartered in Boise, KovichCo is a multi-disciplinary, award-winning design firm specializing in turnkey interior design projects; working in both commercial and residential sectors including corporate, hospitality, retail projects and more. We work closely with our clients and other members of the design and construction teams to give our clients the most beautiful, authentic, and interesting spaces possible.
KovichCo is a small team working to make a big impact in the built environment and people’s lives. We do this through research and preparation, presenting bold but practical design ideas and seeing them through construction and turnover. Residential projects are primarily located in Boise with a strong regional reach.
Interior Designer:
This interior design position will fill a crucial role in our extremely hands-on design team. As a small firm, each team member wears many hats, and work-flow is fluid and often changing. An interior designer at KovichCo may find themselves drafting one day and creating mock-up models for custom art the next. Our small team supports each other, but we have no designated support roles. What we do offer is exposure to and experience in some of the most exciting projects with the area’s most wonderful clients who trust KovichCo to deliver artistic, cohesive experiences to their end-users.
Skills/Abilities Required
- Ability to generate professional construction drawings (Finish Plans and Schedules, Details and Elevations, RCPs, etc.)
- Ability to build a robust client program; discern important themes and priorities
- Highly organized approach to project documentation
- Excellent written communication
- Experience in all phases of design from developing schematic concepts, space planning, selecting materials, selecting lighting, generating construction documents, reviewing drawings, site visits, etc.
- Experience in the selection of FFE with special attention to evaluating appropriateness
- Experience with millwork design and detailed drafting.
- Ability to think holistically about a project and understand impacts and interactions of factors outside of interior design
- Approximately 5 experience in an interior design firm(s)

- Team-oriented approach to working with vendors, other design professionals, and trades. Blamers need not apply.
- An interest and enthusiasm in developing your personal sense of aesthetics in art, design, music, etc. and a willingness to share it with the design team.
Interior Designer Responsibilities
Technical Skills:
- Required: proficiency in either Revit or AutoCAD, ideal candidate will be proficient in BOTH
- Required: Microsoft Office suite
- Required: Adobe Acrobat
- Required: Sketchup
- Photoshop and/or Illustrator, InDesign
